Keep me informed of any further efforts to defend morality
on college campuses.
Dr. William L. Jenkins
Louisiana State University, Interim Chancellor
I am extremely upset over the recent destruction
of thousands of crosses on the parade grounds of Louisiana State University.
I understand pro-life students peacefully erected these crosses with
the approval of university officials.
The cross is a sacred symbol revered by 62 million
Catholics and countless other Americans. This is not a mere vandalism,
but a sacrilege. I am personally offended that vandals destroyed the
religious symbol of my beloved Faith. It seems like freedom of speech
and religion for pro-lifers at LSU is merely a mirage.
Please do everything in your power as chancellor
of Louisiana State University to speak out strongly against this sacrilege
and take serious measures to ensure that this never occurs again.
Thank you for your kind attention to this matter.
