Students Welcome Our Lady at St. Mary's College
The statue of Our Lady of Fatima made a profound impression on the students at St. Mary’s University.

Students at St. Mary’s College in Orchard Lake, Michigan, warmly welcomed Our Lady of Fatima’s statue to their campus on November 23.

Escorted by members of TFP Student Action, this beautiful statue made a profound impression on those who saw her. It is one of many pilgrim statues traveling the country thanks to the America Needs Fatima campaign, a project of the American TFP that promotes devotion to Mary reaching hundreds of thousands every year.

“The ambience in the conference room changed as soon as Our Lady arrived. I never saw anything like it,” remarked student Benjamin Beckett, who helped organize the program. “The event got people thinking about praying the Rosary.”

TFP volunteer Kevin Ritchie led the informative two-hour program, which consisted of a talk, audio-visual about the Fatima message, and the recitation of the Holy Rosary. Besides focusing on the vision of Hell shown to the three young children – Lucia and Blessed Jacinta and Francisco – the event highlighted the need for prayer, conversion, and penance.

The Fatima message has a very real application to our days for it contains a moral solution to the widespread crises of Faith, morals and customs plaguing modern society. The final victory of Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart predicted at Fatima also inspires great hope.
