In the heart of downtown Houston, Texas, Christmas carols on the bagpipes could be heard reverberating off the skyscrapers along with slogans such as, “If you love America, keep Christ in Christmas!”
The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP), Tradition, Family Property-Texas, and many local supporters organized a rosary rally in reparation for the blasphemous Drag Queen “Christmas” event, which took place at the Bayou Music Center on December 17, 2024.
Even before the campaign was set up, a group of ladies passing by asked the TFP members where they were going with their banners and signs. TFP volunteer Matthew Shibler responded, “Right across the street to that corner. We’re here to defend the real Christmas against a drag queen mockery of Christmas taking place in that theater.”
One lady exclaimed, “What?! Drag Queen Christmas? That’s horrible! Thank you for what you’re doing!”

Make Christmas Holy Again
Cesar Franco, the local TFP member in Houston, started the rally with the primary intention for the rosary, “We are here to console the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary for the vile mockery of Christmas taking place in this music center.”
A few examples of the signs present were, “Honk! Keep Christ in Christmas; keep Christmas Pure. Don’t Drag it in the Mud, and Make Christmas Holy Again.”
The number of honks in support of the rally clearly showed that Houstonians want the real reason for Christmas to be respected: the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Vile Hatred of Christ and Christmas
Despite the massive support from the cars driving by, there were still those who couldn’t help but show a seething hatred for the rally with obscene gestures and shouts.

One man in a crowd of rollerbladers shouted, “Christ has nothing to do with Christmas!” This man clearly couldn’t understand the absurdity of his statement or the literal meaning of the word “Christmas.”
What is the True Christmas Spirit?
In a frenzied and intemperate world that solely focuses on materialism, the true meaning of Christmas is being eroded and forgotten. Once Our Lord is removed from the picture, all forms of degeneracy and immorality are free to fill the void.
How in the world is it now seen as acceptable to allow a perverted Drag Queen Christmas event to take place? Shamefully, Our Lord Jesus Christ ends up being replaced by a distortion of what the organizers say is “in the spirit of the season”—transgender ideology.
These Drag Queen Christmas events pervert the real reason for Christmas. The true spirit of Christmas can only be found in defending the honor and respect due to the birth of Our Lord and the Holy Family.
