When the American TFP launched its hard-hitting book against same-sex “marriage” in February 2004, it hoped to spread the book far and wide. With three editions, Defending a Higher Law: Why We Must Resist Same-sex “Marriage” and the Homosexual Movement soon became an important resource for all those defending traditional marriage.
Now the book is circulating beyond America’s borders. In Poland, the TFP-inspired Fr. Peter Skarga Association for Christian Culture (Stowarzyszenie Kultury Chrzescijanskiej im. Ks. Piotra Skargi) has just published The American TFP’s book in the Polish language. The organization has long been in the forefront of the traditional marriage battle. The group hopes the new book will be a powerful aid in their continuing fight in defense of traditional marriage.
“We are extremely pleased that the book is now in Polish,” said TFP web editor John Horvat. “Poland is suffering a lot of pressure from the European Union to accept same-sex ‘marriage.’ This book will prove tremendously helpful.”
The work outlines the dangers that the homosexual agenda poses to society, refutes common myths concerning homosexuality and clearly outlines Church teaching on the sin of sodomy. Not only has it been published in Polish but also in Spanish by Acción Familia, the TFP’s sister organization in Chile. It is enjoying wide circulation there and received a letter of recommendation from Cardinal Jorge A. Medina.
Defending a Higher Law is also recommended by Bishops Bruskewitz, Vasa and Nienstedt as well as Archbishop Elden Francis Curtiss of Omaha, Nebr.
