America Needs Fatima (ANF) has mailed its 2005 Fatima Calendar to 115,000 members across the nation. This year’s calendar features reflections of Brazilian TFP founder, Prof. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira on the miraculous International Pilgrim Virgin of Our Lady of Fatima titled: “A Pilgrimage Within a Gaze.”
Prof. Corrêa de Oliveira describes how one can truly go on pilgrimage within the gaze of that spectacular statue. It is a gaze that attracts the viewer toward a sublime summit where one finds a supreme harmony of all forms of good.
“One could spend his whole life within that gaze, without ever reaching the summit of that peak,” Prof. Corrêa de Oliveira writes. “It is not however a useless effort. Within that gaze one does not walk, but flies. One is not a tourist but a pilgrim.”
With this year’s calendar, you too can go on pilgrimage within the gaze of Mary Most Holy twelve months a year. Each month contains a beautiful picture of the miraculous International Pilgrim Virgin superimposed over some of America’s most breathtaking scenery.
In addition to the beautiful photographs, the calendar contains a liturgical calendar combining the official feast days of the Church and the saints’ days taken from Butler’s Lives of the Saints. The calendar also includes inspiring quotes from traditional Catholic prayers to the Blessed Virgin.
