Illinois Courthouse Removes Name of Deceased Congressman Because He Opposed Abortion

Officials at a courthouse in DuPage County, Illinois are canceling a deceased pro-life congressman, named Henry Hyde. They will be removing his name from the courthouse because he opposed abortion.

The county voted on this resolution which was introduced by pro-abortion board member Deb Conroy. This vote also includes the removal of permission to erect a monument to Hyde.

Apart from his outstanding support for the pro-life cause, Hyde is also known for the famous Hyde Amendment which prohibits direct funding of elective abortions by the federal government.

The cancellation of Hyde is unacceptable, especially considering that his only fault was defending the innocent and defenseless. This act on the part of Chair Deb Conroy, a pro-abortion Democrat, is blatant prejudice. This act drew criticism not only from conservatives but even from others such as Barack Obama’s chief campaign strategist, David Axelrod.

“The New Marxists who took over DuPage Country from the Surrender Republicans are doing what they do: tearing things down, eliminating history, canceling figures they deem objectionable,” he wrote before the vote.

Demand that DuPage County Board Stop the Prejudice

As radical pro-abortion advocates continue to impose their agenda, we must stand firm in moral values, and protect the most innocent and defenseless among us, the unborn.

To: Deb Conroy, Chair of DuPage County Board Illinois

I am shocked that you proposed a vote to cancel Hyde from the DuPage County courthouse simply because of his pro-life stance.

This is particularly unacceptable since there is no reason for such an action on the part of this board, other than pro-abortion bias.

Because this is an act of gratuitous and undisguised prejudice, I demand that you repeal this decision and apologize immediately.

Sincerely,
