As the nation suffers under the coronavirus crisis, access to churches, chapels, and adoration chapels, and the Sacraments is scarce or non-accessible.
Please help me in appealing to the bishops to re-open the churches and give the faithful full access to the Sacraments, prayer in the churches, and adoration chapels in the States where such activities are deemed as essential.
As Catholics, we believe in obeying public health orders from government authorities. This notwithstanding, it appears that government orders in many states allow the faithful to have this broad access to churches and Sacraments.
Creative and inspired ways can be found that accommodate both the faithful’s need for the Sacraments and prayer and their duty to obey public health authorities.
We beseech God to have mercy upon America and put an end to this scourge that afflicts the nation.
