Saint Michael Caravan Arrives at Lone Star State Capital, Austin
The Saint Michael the Archangel Caravan against socialism recently traveled to the capital of Texas, Austin.

As the Saint Michael the Archangel Caravan against socialism continues, volunteers from Tradition, Family, Property—Louisiana traveled to the capital of the Lone Star State, Austin. The young caravan members held several campaigns, all receiving lots of support and a corresponding backlash.

Downtown Austin

The caravan first held several campaigns in downtown Austin. TFP volunteers chanted slogans while others walked up and down the streets handing out flyers against socialism. It was only a short time before people showed their support.

One man explained: “TFP? I know who you are. I watch your videos.”

Another couple stated, “Wow, TFP! I can’t believe it. We attend your meetings in California.”

“I watch your videos. Thank you for being here,” said another woman.

One British man liked the campaign and what the TFP was doing. He then subscribed to the TFP Student Action YouTube channel.

Another man said, “You have the guts to do this. I love it.”

A group of young men wearing patriotic hats cheered and applauded the campaign from across the street, shouting, “God bless America. Down with socialism!”

Satanism and Socialism?

However, some people were not very happy to see the TFP campaign.

The TFP volunteers faced screams, curses and obscene gestures. Upon receiving a flyer, one man ripped it in half and threw it to the ground.

One lady jumped out of her car and ran in front of the caravan members, screaming, “I love socialism.” After making obscene gestures, she hurried back into her car.

Two people even went as far as to blaspheme Our Lord, and one man, upon hearing the praying of the Rosary, yelled “Hail Satan” while cursing and screaming.

This begs the question: What does Satanism have to do with socialism?

University of Texas-Austin

On July 27, the caravan arrived at the University of Texas-Austin (UT). Just as in downtown Austin, a group of young men greeted the campaign by saying, “Are you TFP? I love you guys. Thank you for being here.”

One woman stated, “I’m glad you’re here.” Another man wanted a picture of the campaign and said he watched the TFP Student Action YouTube videos.

An older man watching the campaign was so enthused that he joined the young TFP volunteers. “You’re brave to be out here. We are in the belly of the beast,” he said.

The man later bought ice-cold water for all the caravan members and even offered to buy lunch.

The TFP volunteers enjoyed a great lunch with the man and thanked him gratefully. The caravan members offer their prayers and sacrifices for all the great donors and benefactors of the Saint Michael the Archangel Caravan.

With great support also came the backlash.

Many yelled at the caravan members, calling them “fascists.” One man said he was a socialist, while another stated that Our Lord Jesus Christ was also a “socialist.” One woman attacked TFP volunteer Nathan Kinley by throwing a bag of food at his feet.

Remember the Alamo

The Alamo is one of the most visited locations in Texas due to its deep historical significance. The young TFP volunteers decided to campaign near the Alamo to inform the public about the errors of socialism.

At the beginning of the campaign, a Brazilian couple took a picture with the group and said they enjoyed it very much. A man claimed he used to be homeless and said, “Socialism won’t solve your problems. Hard work and God will.” A father and son chanted loudly, “Down with socialism! We hate everything socialist.”

At the same time, a man was yelling and cursing, saying that “We are all socialists” and that “Socialism is good.”

Another group of women, hostile to the campaign, grabbed flyers and angrily threw them into a trashcan.

The Need for Action

This action in the public square is so important, especially as America is threatened by socialism. Because of this, the TFP members ask for prayers and support as they beseech Our Lady and her Blessed Son to intercede for America.
