July 6, 2022, was the third day of TFP Student Action’s Florida tour against socialism. TFP volunteers campaigned at three busy locations: Miracle Mile, Miami City Hall, and Kendall Mall.
“Socialism Produces Slaves, Thieves, and Bums!”
The first stop was at Miracle Mile, a historic lank mark and asylum for Cuban exiles who fled communism. When the TFP banner, signs, standard, and bagpipes deployed, volunteers received a flood of support.
Floridians in surrounding businesses and vehicles cheerfully took the flyer, “10 Reasons to Reject Socialism.” Those of Cuban descent told horror stories their first-hand experience with socialism in their country. One man explained how socialist activist students from the university infected the naïve with communist propaganda. In the name of “the poor,” the immoral regime pushed for the redistribution of private property. He narrated how one lie after another, one socialist policy after another was implemented, provoking the gradual downfall of Cuba.
Eternal and Natural Law: The Foundation of Morals and Law
Vivid descriptions of communism from people who lived and suffered under it matched the TFP slogan chanted on the street today: “Socialism produces slaves, thieves, and bums!”
Hundreds of passing cars erupted with honks upon seeing our banner and signs, “Pray to Protect America from Socialism” and “Honk Against Socialism.”
Police officers thank us for the peaceful campaign.
“Capitalism Kills?”
A socialist advocate with a megaphone interfered with the campaign, yelling repeatedly “capitalism kills!” over a megaphone from his car. Perhaps he didn’t realize the contradiction between his enslaving ideology and his current comfortable lifestyle in a free nation. In this sort of debate, TFP volunteers usually transcend to a higher plane and introduce a topic that is new to many: the need and benefits of Organic Christian Society as a means to solve today’s vexing problems. International Support
The next stop, Miami City Hall, was a more symbolic location, but with less traffic. Here TFP volunteers met supportive police officers and city employees who at the sight of the standard and banner couldn’t resist snapping pictures.

The campaign at Kendall Mall’s busy intersection was received with great enthusiasm.
“God bless you son! Never become communist,” said a lady to a younger TFP volunteer.
The honks of support were so loud that—thankfully—they muffled the vulgar insults of a pro-socialist woman who made several loops around the intersection. The good reaction came as no surprise since South American residents in this area know what socialism is about. They don’t want America to become the nightmare they fled from.

“If America is not careful,” noted a Floridian on the street, “it will have the same plight as Cuba, where socialism destroyed the family, private property, personal freedom, and initiative.”
Therefore, the spiritual crusade against socialism is vital.
