The opening ceremony for the 2024 Olympics took place along a 4.5-mile stretch of Paris’s Seine River as world sports delegations passed by on boats. Along the way, staged events took place on the riverbank shore, supposedly representing the spirit of France. Millions of Christians watched one scene of the televised event in horror as a cast of drag queens represented Our Lord and His Apostles in a parody of Leonardo da Vinci’s “Last Supper.”
A Travesty Without Name
The travesty of the sublime institution of the Holy Eucharist has since divided the world, dropping a shadow of blasphemy over the Olympics. Few imagined such a caricature possible inside the context of a sporting event. Protests poured in from every quarter. Catholics praying rosaries of reparation are showing up at French consulates and embassies.

The incident tragically reflects the world’s polarization. It exposes the true focal point of all that divides the world—politically, culturally and religiously.
That division point dividing conservatives and liberals worldwide is God and His Holy Law. On one side are the remnants of those who worship the one True God and try to observe His Law. On the other are those who set themselves up as gods to satisfy their unbridled passions by evermore radical manifestations of sin. An unbridgeable abyss divides the two.
The Role of Blasphemy
The blasphemous parody represents this drama well. Those perpetrating this act are the avant-garde of a revolution against God by offending Him with the sin of blasphemy, masquerading as “diversity” and “inclusion.”
Indeed, blasphemy is a most serious sin since it directly targets God. Revolutionary movements in history have always pushed their agendas using blasphemy to shock and intimidate the public to accept their subversive ideas.
Thus, the Olympics served as the universal platform for this blasphemy and imposed a new phase of drag queen dominance that leaves no sacred theme unprofaned.
In the name of inclusion, the parody was an act of defiance toward God by those who dared to push the limits of iniquity to new depths. It was an act of worship to the French false god of “liberty,” who allows all things.
The Liberal Acceptance of Blasphemy
The radicals demand that the blasphemy be accepted without question as part of a revolutionary process of acceptance of ever-greater perversions.

On the other hand, tolerant liberals have no outrage over this incident. They blame conservatives for their legitimate intolerance and indignation rather than the perpetrators of the blasphemy. For this reason, many major figures of the Democratic Party and the liberal establishment have maintained an awkward silence or limited commentary about the event. President Biden has issued no statement. His wife, Jill Biden, attended the opening ceremony and called it spectacular. Presidential hopeful Kamala Harris has also made no comment. More radical liberals minimize the offense by calling it an act of diversity and inclusion. The Olympic Committee hoped to contain the damage with a pseudo-apology saying, “If people have taken any offense, we are, of course, really sorry.”
The Need to Expose the Blasphemy
There is one thing often missing from the Christian response to the offense. Some Church officials have reduced the incident to “an attack upon the beliefs of Christians,” a display of “anti-Christian bigotry,” an example of wokeness gone wild or a mockery of Christianity. They decry that “Christians were hurt by the representation.”
Such criticism, while valid, misses the central point that needs to be unmasked. The Olympic parody is blasphemy, a direct attack upon God and His Law. It offends God and demands reparation, not pseudo-apologies. This parody targets God in His Infinite and Adorable Majesty and violates His Law. It will not be satisfied until all morals are overthrown.
Blasphemy is not caused by hurt feelings. Rather, it is one of the sins denounced by Our Lady at Fatima as a reason for the chastisement of sinful humanity.

The best way to refute it “is to show it [its face] in its entirety, whether as regards its spirit and the general outline of its action or as regards each of its apparently innocent and insignificant manifestations or maneuvers. To thus snatch away its veil is to deal it the harshest of blows.”

Thus, Church officials and faithful should expose this true face whose name is blasphemy. The 2024 Olympics should go down in history as the 2024 Blasphemy Olympics and be rejected by all.
A Sinister Message
The consequences of not denouncing this blasphemy are contained in another part of the opening ceremony.
Those who created the opening ceremony were not content with just blasphemy. The ceremony also sent a sinister message of intimidation to all those who resist this blasphemous revolution.
Further downstream, another scene of the ceremony likewise caused horror. It was the macabre spectacle of a guillotined Marie Antoinette, head in hands, singing the French Revolutionary anthem, “Ah! Ça ira.”
The bloody scene alluded to the Terror of the French Revolution, where so many innocent Catholics were put to death in the name of unbridled “liberty,” whose full face they failed to see.
The implication was clear. Those who refuse to accept the liberté promised by the new world of drag queen blasphemy can expect the fate of the guillotine represented by the unfortunate Queen Marie Antoinette. The god of liberté is a jealous god and will tolerate none other.
